I worked at a small company, probably 200 employees with 30 in my department.
The guy I worked for was a dolt. He's like a male Anna Nicole Smith (stooopid). So I ended up having to cover for him all the time... making him the hero inspite of my own abilities.He was a major pain in the department for most everyone who had to work closely with him, so, I decided it was time to put an end to the madness... I got a copy of his resume, which he kept on his PC. I modified it and added some flair, but not too much.
I then spent my lunch hour faxing his resume off to all the recruiting firms I could. Sure enough, a week later, he was bitching to some co workers about how he is getting all these job offers (lie).
Although he was getting calls since we gave his work phone number as his contact number. He said he'd never leave and he did stick it out for a few months... but during that time, I took my own initiative and applied it to myself and found another job. However, a month or two later, I discovered that he did indeed leave the company for one of those jobs. I ended up going back to that company 1 year after I/he left, and I stayed for several years. You can see him on TVs "buy direct" infomercial if your interested (seriously, no lie). This is also the guy I punched at work, and all I got was 2 days paid leave. :)
